I received this product got free or for a discounted price for my honest opinion. This is a great accessory for my camera . This is a Tulip flower lens for a 58 mm camera, they do have other sizes for other cameras as well. It simply screws on to your lens and then has a locking ring to keep it in place. It also comes with a lens cap with a string on it so my lens will be protective at all times. It also came with a cleaning cloth. Now the Hood is to help prevent the certain light that can affect my picture when I take them, a lot of times the hood can be used at night when shooting as well. The hood can also protect my camera if I accidentally bump it, because the bump would hit the hood saving my lens and camera from getting injured.
